The Gramin Haat Bazaar or the Urban Haat Bazaar Indore is an exhibition centre that becomes an oasis of shops selling local & national handicraft items !! The exhibition centre, built over two acres of land in the heart of the city, has around 50 shops that can be set up for selling a wide variety of handicraft products, Leather Footwear, Sea-shell Bags, Chanderi Sarees, Creative Broomsticks, and much more !!
The artisans who do not have enough financial means, and are below the poverty line (BPL), are given waivers for the shop rent during an exhibition !! It is a great venue for the highly-skilled artisans from rural areas/villages of Madhya Pradesh (MP) and elsewhere to showcase their products in the city, specially those who cannot spend higher amounts of money on marketing their products !! It has been made & run by Zila (District) Panchayat Indore !!
