The original St. Anns Church (popularly known as the White Church) was built in 1858 by Protestant Christians, and this church in Indore was funded entirely by one Sir Robert North Hamilton of the British empire at that time !! Inspired by British / European architecture, the Church was designed by Engineer Ross McMahon !! It is believed to be the oldest church in Indore !! It is situated in the vicinity of the Red Church !!
However, the original White Church of the mid-nineteenth century crumbled down in the torrential rains of 1990s !! Soon after, work started for reconstructing the church with funds coming in from members of the Christian community and also from the people of other religions such as Hinduism !! The church was consecrated in 1998 !!
