In the Vande Bharat Mission Phase 1 from 7 to 13 May 2020, India will bring back almost 15,000 Indians on 64 flights !! In the 2nd phase of this mission, from 16 to 22 May, the numbers are being doubled !! 30,000 more Indians will return from 31 countries on 149 flights !! In the 2nd phase, an Air India flight carrying Indians will come to Indore from London, via Ahmedabad, on Sunday 24 May, 2020 !! Earlier too, Kuwait Airways flights carrying 234 passengers from Kuwait had landed in to the Indore airport (IDR), as part of this mission !!

Priority is being given to cases in distress, elderly persons, pregnant women, serious medical cases, migrant workers & labourers who have been laid off, people with expired visas, students, and other Indians in trouble !!

Similarly, many flights are being operated out of India, by India and other countries, to take their respective citizens !!

In its other COVID-19 rescue operation, India has been conducting the Lifeline UDAN mission to give Coronavirus a tough fight in the way our Civil Aviation professionals have responded to the call of duty in these tough times !!
